New fresh month. Mmmmmm i cannot wait. Been a green month but has been swingy for me running horrible in terms of EV, but at least its not a losing month and seeing as ive jumped to 50nl early BR wise im very happy.

Im still auto piloting too much and im not happy with this so am going to do a challenege this month. a challenge that isnt hand volume related for the first time.

I wanna play 2tables at all times (3 max but must be superfish for me to "have" to sit" lol) I want to concentrate more on hand reading, ranges, EV, player tendancies game flow etc etc etc... i dont do this enough auto piloting. Yes my game is winning me money at the moment but im not sure if its getting better at the rate im hoping for if at all. So all this month im gonna try and just 2table. 3very max as i have been 6-8.

Also got a checklist from steve and have adjusted it and want to carry that out this month. that includes better session reviews, and more regular reviews, no hero stat checking, More posting hands target on various forums, reply to hands weekly target and a few other things.

50NL so far

As you can see the first 2k hands i was playing well and generally doing well. next 1700 hands i lost 4BI and was getting prepared to drop back to 25NL.. i defo tightened up, became more passive and went into call down mode. Alot of my call downs were correct as it happens, but obv opponent outdrew me on the river several times. Since then its been up and down and quite swingy.

This is down to a number of reasons and im still adjusting to the added aggression here. finding it hard to adjust quite as quickly as i did to 10NL and 25NL but im getting there.

Going to get a coach within the next couple of weeks and really start to get my game going as i think ive only been giving it about 30% of what i could as i was crushing 10+25nl and stopped working on my game as much :(

anyway im chatting shit now just wanted to give a quick update for the couple of people that contacted me since moving to 50NL

Bankroll wise i shouldnt be doing this. But am playing well at the moment and been very solid at 25NL. Again i prob shouldnt be moving up so quickly. But im feeling good. I wouldnt say im playing my best and still getting used to the extra aggression. even if it is spaz aggression!!!! But a few things are falling into place shall we say and aslong as im sensible i cant see this being a problem. However a 5BI stop loss limit will make me drop to 25NL.

That aint happening though :D

just thought id let you know im still alive :) 1 fishy still at the tables.

didnt manage to get alot of hands in last month, but when i did i ran like shit. Today was the same. i thought to myself new month new start.. ended up down 3buy ins and should have been up 3 buy ins.. but hey nevermind... shit happens. gives me something to come back from and target the rest of the month..

steve im gonna be on ur forum alot more this month now im at a sensible limit to post hands lol, wanna get in a really high amount this month.

so we are halfway through the month so i thought i would post my hands to date.
finally a silverstar at stars. lol what a joke. need to get to 25nl asap. I have really messed this month up and i have thrown away ev on silly calls and played very poorly.

all last month's hands ive been playing over at party. Running well and playing well.

So i ship a little to Stars as the party tables are really shit in the mornings UK time. and i find myself not playing as they are overloaded with tags. Stars have juicy tables 24/7 for me so it made since to ship a few buy ins over there as my hand numbers were low because of this time difference and times were i couldnt find a good table.

Now Steve will know ive never run well over at stars (maybe doomswitch as i was caught datamining there ages ago) none the less i sat down and tried again.

yup you guessed it riverstars was back to its old tricks. based on AI on flops i should have been 3BI up.. got a little disheartened and also throught the blog curse was pulling my pants down aswell. went through HM and really studied the hands. no real major mistakes and certainly not to the point of -5BI,

Took a break and watched tubasteves road to robusto series. only watched EP1, returned an hour later and this happened.....

glad to be back in the green but stars really does treat me like its whore. Rant over..... im gonna watch EP2 now and crush again in a an hour or 2...

like stars new FPP system BTW, steve how did you once work out what the rake EQ was??? let me know please.

Come back and started to play the last 11 days of the months. Got in a decent amount of hands. Want double next month But December will be a tricky month for me seeing as we have Christmas and New Year

Well i blogged when i was winning, then got a nice downswing (3bet) so im now 4bet shoving to keep it this way ;)

As many of you know ive only started putting in some decent hands this month, it started well then i had a 7BI downswing. I looked into my game after speaking with a player ive started to talk to alot and i needed to tighten up dramatically. 23/20/4 just wasnt cutting it at 10NL, i was doing stuff that they just clearly didnt understand im now playing around 17/13 actually scrap that..... IM PLAYING BETTER... Fuck preflop numbers.. what are they exactly anyway???? They dont win you shit in this game. Ive adjusted to my opponents and am now reeping the rewards. Im just going for max value and stopped leveliing myself, 10nl players dont understand level 3 thinking when they dont even know a level 1 exists.i can save these plays for when i go up another 2 levels and get to 50NL

i think you can see the improvment already, not just the fact its going up, but its alot more steady

Im really happy ive managed to get into the green again after that downswing, I'm now going to concentrate on making this a mega month for me at 10NL and hope to get to 25nl within 2 months (august) the aim is to win 30bi for 25nl.. not let my BR hit that limit, BUT win it all... then move up with no RB or bonuses included. i will then know im ready :)

brief update

i hate saying this, because as soon as i say it i'll hit a massive downswing..... so i'll re word it this time around. things are going well at the moment and nice and steady. baby steps right?! my games coming together again. slowly but surely...

i joined deuces cracked today for playing well for the last couple of weeks and ive downloading 117 video's... so thats gonna keep me on my toes but im looking forward to watching them all... better go and find my notepad and pen.......

sorry for the lack of updates i will try to do at least 1 a week from now on....

Whats happening guys

Sorry about the huge delay in blog entries. I purchased a new laptop from Dell just before i started playing poker again. Its nothing special to be perfectly honest but its a huge improvement on my old one. Its exactly 4x powerful and higher spec then my old one but certainly aint a monster of a machine if you know what i mean. Anyway i started playing poker and slowly getting back into things then about a week into my return things started to go wrong,

1. Sound would stop after the machine was on for a while

2. It would randomly make a “poppin” noise directly below the keypad?????

3. On start up always perform disk checks for consistancy

4. Always pick up windows updates, install them, restart itself then #3 would happen and then on reboot the same updates would be there

I eventually done a reformat on the machine and to cut a long story short the exact same thing happened again. Eventually got it sent back to dell and a new one sent out to me, it took over 3 weeks from the sending date to get the machine back onto my lap. I managed to blag an extra £100 off the machine aswell as a harddrive upgrade so not all is too bad i guess.

Obviously my hands for the month took a huge loss but to be honest i used it to my advantage. Having been away from poker for almost a year i had lost alot of my edge and ev shall we say, i remembered some of the basics but the quickness and sharpness went away. I was playing utter shit and getting owned by the begginners at 10NL. At least im man enough to admit it lol.

I went on a huge 9buy in downswing. Actually i cant even call it a downswing. It was just spew. So whilst my computer was getting sorted i dug out my old desktop. Pentium 1 flex... yeah baby!!!!!! I went onto fulltilt and purchased a 24hour pass on CR. I managed to watch a few video’s but not many. But then i got offered a 7day trial after and i gladly accepted. I watched all the 2 series by verneer on low stakes, and a new instructor who i had never seen or heard of before. Citizenwind. I like his videos alot and i seem to concentrate and take alot of “it in” so to speak.

Now after watching 3 series of videos i feel alot more comfortable again at the tables and my results on the last 2 days have shown this.. could just be variance and a small upswing but i feel my play is alot more better and i thinking alot more rather then just ABC.... im hoping may will be an excellent month for me and that i can really kick on now after that false start. On the 12^th its my birthday ill be 25. God i feel old :(. Im going away to Malia in Greece to “have it up” 7^th-14^th so im looking forward to that and getting lashed and having a great time.

Notice a difference? Small sample i know but im getting back into the swing of things :) them videos have really helped... ive really got to sign up to DC or CR... just things are abit tight at the moment. but fingers crossed it will be this month sometime....hope everything is going well for all you readers at the tables. im surprised some of you still actually have this linked up still.
